Financial Planning Frequently Asked Questions

While not considered a standalone service, financial planning is the foundation of what we do, as it considers your full financial picture. With a holistic approach to managing your wealth, we’re able to create a personalized roadmap for your goals that addresses all aspects of your financial well-being (beyond just your portfolio).

No, we do not offer financial planning as a separate service. Wealth management and financial planning go hand-in-hand, as we focus on your portfolio and investments, as well as provide the ongoing oversight of your broader wealth strategy.

Yes, you will generally benefit from establishing a comprehensive financial plan. True financial planning goes much deeper than day-to-day budgeting and investing, as it brings together your proactive tax strategy, preparations for retirement, estate and legacy considerations, and more to create a cohesive strategy that adapts as your life evolves.

A financial plan isn’t meant to be a “one and done” exercise. It will need to evolve just as you do. We review it with you regularly (usually on a yearly basis) and adjust as needed to account for any changes in your personal circumstances, income, family, or broader economic changes.

Our minimum financial planning flat fee for those nearing or in retirement is $10,000 a year. This service is best suited for those with at least $1M in investable assets. However, our fees typically range between $10,000 and $25,000 annually for those nearing retirement, depending on complexity.

The sooner, the better. Even if retirement feels far off, starting early allows you to take advantage of compounding, proactive tax strategies, and the flexibility to adjust course as life unfolds.
